When you’ve lost someone, the last thing you need is a generic service. A farewell ceremony with Sho is written entirely around the person you love, in your and sometimes their words, at your pace, with room for every emotion the day holds. I’m here to guide you through it and carry the weight, so that you can simply be present.
A Farewell That Sounds Like Them
A farewell ceremony led by an independent celebrant like Sho, isn’t tied to any single belief, format or time slot. You don't have to use whoever the funeral director suggests; the choice of celebrant is always yours. We can hold the service in a crematorium, a woodland, a garden, a family home or anywhere that felt like theirs.
If you'd like religious or spiritual elements, prayers or hymns, those are welcome too. And if you'd rather none at all, that's just as right! This is about honouring, one particular life, exactly as it was lived.
Children's Farewells
Saying goodbye to a child is the hardest thing a family can face, and it's a part of this work I hold especially close to my heart. If you find yourself here for this reason, I am so deeply sorry. When you feel able, I'll be here to help you create a farewell filled with the love and tenderness your little one deserves, handled with the utmost gentleness and care.

Not every farewell is a goodbye. Sometimes the thing we most want to mark is having made it through. A survivor ceremony is a chance to give thanks and celebrate the other side of trauma or serious illness, to honour your strength, the people who carried you, and the life you're stepping back into.
These ceremonies are deeply personal, so I create each one entirely from scratch, around your story and what feels healing for you. They're priced on application, because no two are ever the same.
