Hi, I’m Sho

I’m a celebrant quite simply because I love love

I’m Shona, also known as Sho. Whether you’re saying “welcome,” “I do” or “we’ll miss you,” I bring creativity, humour, empathy and a whole lot of love to every ceremony I write.

I’m traditional with a twist, familiar but fresh, formal but fun, and I bring the Sho!

The difference

More Than a Celebrant

The main part of my job isn’t talking.

It’s listening

I listen to your stories and hear the details that matter, capturing the magic within. Only then, once I’ve written a couture script moulded around you, do I tell your story, delivering it with warmth, humour and love.

A few things that make working with me different:

    I’m fully inclusive, so same-sex, neurodivergent, and beautifully complicated blended families are all completely at home with me.

    I love a second, third or fourth time around. If you want to do things differently from “last time,” you’re exactly who I write for.

    I’m your fairy godmother of weddings, so if it’s your first time and you’re not sure what you are doing, I will guide you each step of the way.

    I grew up all over the world, so blending cultures, faiths and traditions is one of my favourite things.

    Before this I was a private chef cooking for big life events and live TV, so I know how to be the calm at the centre of a high-pressure day.

Where I’ll be

On Your Doorstep
or wherever you’re headed

My home patch is North Somerset, Bristol and Bath & North East Somerset, and it’s where most of my ceremonies happen. But I’m based ten minutes from Bristol airport, so doorstep venues and far-flung ones are equally easy. I’ll happily travel across the South West, nationally and internationally to be your celebrant. Castles to coasts, yurts to yachts, I’m in.
